I bought and read Red Thunder yesterday on your recommendation and enjoyed it. Thanks!

BTW, in addition to the obvious Heinlein relationships, there was a subtle allusion to John MacDonald's Travis McGee series: Travis of Red Thunder owns (in his classic car collection) a Rolls Royce that had been converted to a pickup. That can only be Travis McGee's Miss Agnes. :)

Wow, just mention intelligent design and the wackos start coming out of the woodwork. I have gotten several bizarre comments from supposedly religious people trying to sell me on . . . well actually I am not even sure. They are so bizarre, it is hard to figure out what their point is. One starts:

"A Thing that has not yet been disproved … can hold it’s reasonable assumption that it do exist; And as long as a Thing remain unproven, it can maintain it’s greatest possibility of being so. Indeed in this world, Intelligent Design has faltered, but because the beautiful and shinning crystal glass was shattered when it fell to the floor, doesn’t mean it’s Superior Design didn’t exist before it’s fragments were disarranged."
